Description: St. Thomas More required a solution to their existing playground which was very open and exposed to the elements. The school wanted something 'a little different' and plumped for the Conic structures that are constructed of steel and heavy duty fabric, these were used to cover the main area of the playground giving protection from the elements yet allowing a good amount of light through the white fabric to the ground below. Newcastle Senior canopies and walkways were added at entrances to the existing buildings leading to the edges of the Conics. The whole area now has a dynamic look and feel and the staff and pupils have an area to relax, play and congregate at break times whatever the weather.
